Dear old Duke is an 8 year old male GSD who was dumped here along with his mate Honey because their owner was transferred in the military. Duke has a very loving and affectionate nature and should be a great big boy, but he is pretty underweight and already weighs over 100 lbs. He has the cutest white stripe in the middle of his face. Such a tiny little guy to be in this place all alone. Even though he is very frightened, he is always happy to see someone and loves to be petted and held. His last day is listed as JUNE 27.

Poor Chaplin..dumped after 8 years of loyalty! It doesn't seem that his family took very good care of him anyway; his coat is horribly matted and in terrible shape. Despite this neglect, Chaplin is a sweet boy who needs someone to really care for him.

I was at the shelter when Maggie's owner was dropping her off. Sweet, fun-loving Bear was adopted here a couple of months ago. Once again, it seems a dog's inappropriate chewing has landed him in danger. People have no patience. Bear resembles a TM, but on a much smaller scale, about 65 lbs. He is UTD on all vaccinations and has been NEUTERED. He gets along with other dogs and children, although he plays a bit rough for very small kids. Bear is a beautiful dog who needs to be part of a family, not languishing in the back yard, bored to death. The person who surrendered him even said that she had asked her vet if he would EXTRACT Bear's teeth to keep him from chewing! Can you believe that?
