Saving Spalding Pets

I am part of a volunteer group of people dedicated to rescuing animals awaiting death by "gas chamber" methods. These are the animals at one such shelter, the Spalding county animal shelter in Griffin, GA.

AO6-2996 COCKER SPANIEL-RECLAIMED BY OWNER.

This handsome buff colored boy appears to be a purebred Cocker Spaniel. His coat is pretty matted, but the worse thing is that his nails have grown so long that he is limping. He is in dire need of vet care, which this shelter is not funded to provide. He is a sweet and gentle soul who deserves better than he has been given. His LAST DAY is listed as OCTOBER 18.

So did his owner have to sign something indicating he'd seek vet care? Why was the dog in such bad shape - had he been lost?

I do not think the shelter cares for some reason innocent animals have no one to speak up for them I hope this poor dog is going to be taken care of
