Saving Spalding Pets

I am part of a volunteer group of people dedicated to rescuing animals awaiting death by "gas chamber" methods. These are the animals at one such shelter, the Spalding county animal shelter in Griffin, GA.

AO6-2829, 2830 DMH WHITE-OWNER SURRENDER

These 2 sisters were dumped at the shelter by their owner. They are just 5 months old. One seems to have long hair while the other's coat is short-medium. They are both very sweet girls, although they seem a little too calm for kittens. They are available NOW and their LAST DAY is listed as OCTOBER 3.

I thought when you adopted a pet from spalding you have 30 days to get your new pet altered? Are they enforcing this law, or just letting these animals go to people who have no intention of fixing them? They should make sure these animals are getting fixed or they will end up back in the shelter with more unwanted pets!!!
