Saving Spalding Pets

I am part of a volunteer group of people dedicated to rescuing animals awaiting death by "gas chamber" methods. These are the animals at one such shelter, the Spalding county animal shelter in Griffin, GA.

AO6-2488 COLLIE/ENGLISH SHEPHERD MIX-LOLA-RESCUED!

I just know that under that filthy, matted fur, there lies one of the most gorgeous dogs on the planet! Lola is about 10 years old and was abandoned at a house when the occupants moved out. She is a pudgy girl so she must have gotten fed enough, but that's about it...she needs a grooming so badly. Lola's eyes shine with love and loyalty, despite being dumped like trash. Isn't there someone out there who would love to have the world's most beautiful old girl lying at their feet? Lola's last day alive is listed as SEPTEMBER 5.

It is sad to see all those dogs and cats at the kennel. We adopted our beagle from the Weber County Shelter here in Ogden and he is the best dog. His other companion is Mia whom we purchased from someone who could no longer care for her.
Some people just do not want the responsibility of animals - they are the ones that should never attempt it because those poor things are the ones that end up in the kennel - it is cruelty of the worst kind. Of course, some people are just as cruel to their children.
