Saving Spalding Pets

I am part of a volunteer group of people dedicated to rescuing animals awaiting death by "gas chamber" methods. These are the animals at one such shelter, the Spalding county animal shelter in Griffin, GA.

AO6-1070 ROTTWEILER-QUEENIE-OWNER SURRENDER-RESCUED!

UPDATE-AFTER BEING RESCUED BY A WONDERFUL PERSON, QUEENIE WENT TO THE VET TO ADDRESS HER WEAK HIPS. TESTS SHOWED SHE WAS IN THE ADVANCED STAGES OF OSTEOCARCOMA AND HER BONES WERE TERRIBLY WEAK; HER LEFT FRONT LEG WAS EVEN BROKEN FROM IT. HER PROGNOSIS WAS VERY POOR, SO HER RESCUER CHOSE TO HELP HER GO ON TO THE BRIDGE, FREE FROM PAIN AND SUFFERING. DESPITE BEING IN AGONIZING PAIN, QUEENIE WAS A LOVING AND STRONG DOG WHO TOUCHED EVERYONE'S HEARTS...GODSPEED, SWEET QUEENIE..TIL WE MEET YOU AGAIN.
Poor Queenie. Her owner said he couldn't afford to take care of her anymore, so he dumped her at the shelter. She is 2 years old and a really good girl. She gets along with other dogs, too. She is very affectionate and social. She is available NOW and her last day is listed as May 16. This shelter will ONLY release Rottweilers to a LICENSED, APPROVED RESCUE GROUP; she is NOT available for individual adoption.

What's the status of this dog. Have a possible rescuer that will take her if transport can be arranged.

Thanks.
